Profile

Hi, I’m Youyang, an AI researcher in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Memory Systems. I lead a deep learning research team at Kioxia Corporation, Japan, where I explore the intersection of memory, intelligence, and perception in vision and language models. With 15+ years of R&D experience (Kioxia, Toshiba), 40+ patents and publications (ECCV, EMNLP, ACCV, etc.), and 7+ years of AI research team leading experience, my work bridges fundamental insight in AI and its real-world impact. I have served as a reviewer for top conferences and received outstanding reviewer recognitions (EMNLP, BMVC). The tools I co-developed inspect and analyze millions of data daily in social infrastructure & semiconductor industries. I am a Senior Member of IEEE and hold a B.Eng from Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. I speak English, Chinese, Malay, and Japanese.
